PROTECT EAU CLAIRE’S WATER
Support a Water Stewardship and Conservation Plan
A Proclamation was recently submitted to the Eau Claire City Council for a water Stewardship and Conservation Plan to assure that our children and grandchildren can enjoy clean, safe drinking water, and healthy rivers and lakes for recreation and enjoyment. Citizen comment will be heard on July 10 2023, and the city council will vote on July 11.
PROCLAMATION
1) Initiate a comprehensive Water Stewardship and Conservation Plan
2) Initiate a study for a water rate case to equitably accommodate ongoing planning costs, remediation of challenging pollutants such PFAS chemicals, and the overall reinforcement of Eau Claire’s water infrastructure
3) Halt any new binding agreements with high-capacity water users until completion and adoption of the afore mentioned comprehensive Water Stewardship and Conservation Plan.
